“The first key to wisdom is constant questioning…by doubting we are led to inquiry, and by inquiry we discern the truth.” -Peter Abeland (1079-1142)
“It is better to know some of the questions than all of the answers.” -James Thurber (1894-1961)
What do these quotes mean?
To me the first quote means to constantly question and never doubt what you think is the answer or the truth. The second one, i mean to me it seems straight forward but you know i could be wrong. But my interpretation is its better to not know everything then to know everything. Better to learn than to not learning i guess, life wouldnt be fun.
"La primera clave para la sabiduria es el cuestionamiento constante... al dudar de que somos conducidos a la indagacion, y al indagar discernimos la verdad".
"es mejor saber algunas de las preguntas que todas las respuestas.
Do these quotes apply to connect with me??? Honestly i dont know but they do apply to society by how we innovate or create things and how we are always questioning everything. Because we dont have all the answers for life. we always question where do we go when we die or is there a god and we dont have the answers for those type of questions. Even questions like on our own planet we dont know everything. To me thats what makes life fun: not knowing everything and always questioning.
